Dr Steve Mckew

Steve is a clinical haematologist with an interest in tropical haematology and was based at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust Laboratory. Severe anaemia is common in HIV positive adults in Malawi and is associated with a high mortality. Steve’s training fellowship looked at the causes of severe anaemia in HIV positive adults, particularly the contribution of anaemia of chronic disease and lymphoma.
