Public Engagement in Ecuador for World Asthma Day

To celebrate World Asthma Day Dr Cristina Ardura underwent a live interview at the local radio in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, where she is carrying out her research project on risk factors for asthma emergency care re-admission in children. Prevalence, risk factors and barriers to an adequate management and asthma control were discussed in order to increase public awareness of this growing public health problem, as well as a description of the study she is conducting in the city of Esmeraldas.
